How to set up IPTV UK on iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad, IPTV players come from the App Store. The reliable options are paid apps with free trials, so you can test CosyTelly properly before paying the app maker's one-off fee.

Before you start

You will need an iPhone or iPad with a recent version of iOS or iPadOS, your Apple ID for the App Store, and the M3U link from your CosyTelly message. You will also use a web browser for one step, which you can do on the same device.

Apps

Best IPTV apps for iPhone and iPad

Why no free app?. Free IPTV players come and go on the App Store, and most are unreliable. IBO Pro Player and Hot Player are the two we recommend, and both let you try before you buy.
About the paid apps. IBO Pro Player and Hot Player each come with a free trial, so you can add your playlist and test properly before paying the app maker.

IBO Pro Player

Paid app with a free trial

Hot Player

Paid app with a free trial
Hot Player home screen showing the active playlist with Live TV, Movies, Series and Radios

App fee: €5.99 a year or €14.99 for life, with a 30-day free trial, paid to the app maker and separate from your CosyTelly subscription.

IBO Pro Player and Hot Player (MAC address and M3U link)

  1. Open the app on your device. It shows your MAC address, and IBO also shows a Device Key.
  2. On your phone or computer, open the app's playlist page: IBO Player Pro · Bob Player · Hot Player.
  3. Enter the MAC address, plus the Device Key for IBO, exactly as shown on screen.
  4. Choose Add playlist, then M3U, and paste the M3U link from your CosyTelly message.
  5. Give the playlist any name and press Save.
  6. Restart the app on your device, and your channels appear.
Hot Player has two separate pages, so do not mix them up: Upload is where you paste your M3U link (free during the trial), and Activation is where you pay for the app once you have tried it and want to keep it.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting IPTV on iPhone & iPad

The app can't find my playlist

Check the MAC address you typed on the playlist page matches the one shown in the app, then close the app fully by swiping it away and open it again.

Where do I find the MAC address?

Open IBO Pro Player or Hot Player. The MAC address, and the Device Key for IBO, is shown on the first screen or in the app's settings.

Playback stops when I switch apps

iOS pauses most video apps in the background. Go back to the player and press play, or use Picture in Picture if the app offers it.

Streams are choppy on mobile data

4K needs a strong, fast signal and uses a lot of data. Choose FHD or HD channels on 4G or 5G, and switch to Wi-Fi when you can.
